Welcome to our Open Three Peaks Challenge website for 2011.
Each year since 2000, we have provided a number of Outdoor Adventure & Challenge events which are open to anyone to enter - hence the 'Open Challenge Series'. Our events range from the gruelling national Three Peaks Challenge of climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon - often within a 24 hour time period, to single day mountain challenges such as the Helvellyn Challenge, or the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.

The 'Open Challenge Series' events require just one simple entry fee, with no fundraising requirements, although many individuals may wish to raise funds for a charity or good cause of their own choice. All of our Open Challenge Series events are strictly on a 'first come - first served' basis, and many charities will block book spaces for their own fundraising teams. Events are very often fully subscribed a number of months before the event date, so early entry is advised for all events.

The Original Open Bus Three Peaks Challenge
The concept is simple. Want to complete the national Three Peaks Challenge of climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon (hopefully within 24 hours) but have no friends that want to join you? Want to join a mixed group of like minded people, make some new friends, be fed and watered, guided, and transported through the challenge?
Then the Open Bus Three Peaks Challenge could be for you..! You can leave your car at our transport depot in Liverpool (2 minutes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport) or get collected at various points heading north to Scotland, and get dropped off in north Wales or Chester. The Open Bus leaves Liverpool 2pm on Friday, stays overnight in Fort William, and returns to Liverpool on Sunday evening. We are happy to assist with booking suitable accommodation for you in Fort William if required. For more details, please see the Open Bus Three Peaks Challenge section of this website.

Corporate Three Peaks Challenge
Team Challenges - Corporate, Charity and Private
A number of the Open Challenge Series events are open to teams. Teams are drawn from the corporate and charity sector, but are also open to groups of friends wishing to enter a fully organised Adventure Challenge event. For most Open Series Challenges, you will be expected to supply your own transport, drivers, and support team. These events are great team building events, and are hugely popular.
Team Challenge events have full professional organisation and mountain support, including start and finish venues, pre-event safety briefings, team planning information and support, loan of safety equipment including emergency group shelters, VHF radios, cookers & fuel, event mapping, as well as professional timing systems and results, and of course - buffet, awards, medals and certificates at the finish...

Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
The Classic Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk
Starting and finishing at Horton-In-Ribblesdale, this 24.5 mile circular challenge walk visits Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, and is attempted within 12 hours. This is also a great training and team building event for anyone planning a national Three Peaks Challenge. Our events are strictly limited to 45 teams of 4 walkers, and become over subscribed very quickly after dates are confirmed.
We offer online information and maps to print off, start and finish venue with bunkhouse and camping available, early morning registration, team start photo's, qualified and experienced mountain staff throughout the challenge route, VHF radio communications, return transport for injured/exhauseted walkers, professional event timing system, BBQ at finish, medals for all finishers. Open to teams of 4 walkers. Entry from just £120 per team of 4 walkers. Facebook Group here.

Since 2000 we have been organising bespoke events for a huge variety of charities, corporate groups, and of course, private individuals. We spent some three weeks working with Channel 4 to produce their BMW Three Peaks video, promoting the 3 Series Touring car, and that is still available to view by clicking the link.
Our bespoke events have helped charities and corporate organisations raise literally millions of pounds for their charities or good causes, and it is likely you have seen events advertised nationally which are organised by ourselves but Corporate branded. We can help with issues regarding access, stakeholder consultation, landowner permissions, event insurance, risk assessments, and all other planning considerations.
Transport and logistics is a complex legal issue, and you need to ensure you comply with safe systems of work, good practise, and understand both local and national vehicle/driver licencing and insurance requirements. Many outdoor companies choose to simply ignore this...
On the ground, we can provide a vast range of support services, including qualified mountain staff, first aid provision, general support staff, drivers and vehicles, catering, toilets and comfort facilities, sign posting, event timing and results, start and finish venues, T shirts, certificates and medals, etc...
